Easter Message
Hello everyone. I am pretty sure this is the first blog I
have written. I am not a good writer at all, but I feel like I need to share
this.
As we come upon Easter, let us remember what we are
celebrating. Easter is not about the eggs, the bunny, and the chocolate. It is
about celebrating the price our Savior paid to save us from eternal suffering. Jesus lived a perfect life, died on the cross
to take our punishment for sin, and then rose again 3 days later. Recently,
someone said that Heaven is what doesn’t make sense not Hell. This is so true.
It makes perfect sense that since we are sinners, we deserve to be eternally
punished in the Lake of Fire. What doesn’t make sense is that a Perfect God
could love us wretched sinners so much that He gave His Son to die for us so we
can go to Heaven. However, that is exactly what Jesus did. He willingly and
loving went to the cross and died for us without any sign of withdraw. And He knew exactly what would happen. This
Easter, I want you all too really think about just how great Jesus’ sacrifice
for us was. He didn’t need to die for us. He could have let us all perish in
Hell for our sins against Him, but He didn’t. He loves us so much He made a way
for us to be made right with Him. Even though we will never stop sinning in
this world, God sees us Christians as righteous because of what Jesus did on
that cross. I still can’t believe Jesus loves me so much he gave up His life
for me and took my sins away. He loves all of and wants you to be in Heaven
with Him for eternity. If you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior,
you are in trouble. You are heading towards Hell. I don’t want to sugarcoat
the truth. Whatever you think will save you, your good works, a list of rules
you follow, nothing can save you except Jesus Christ. Only through His death
and resurrection can you be saved and go to Heaven. I want to encourage you to
look into your life. What are you trust in? Are you trusting in yourself? Your
good deeds? The fact that you haven’t
done anything too bad? James 2:10 says, “For whoever keeps the whole law and
yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it.” (NIV version
of the Bible) This means that even if you only tell one little “white” lie, you
are guilty of breaking all of the law. Once you realize you are a sinner and cannot
do anything to save yourself, realize what Jesus did for you on the cross and
how He was raised from the dead 3 days later, and repent of your sins and turn
towards Jesus, you will be saved and you can know for sure that your sins are
forgiven and you will go to Heaven.
Thank you so much for reading my blog and I hope you have a
wonderful God filled Easter!
Mandy Beau
