Camp Friends

Hi, Mary here! I wanted to tell you all of an experience that happened to me that encouraged me. I attended a bible camp with my sister this summer. At camp, there was no one there that I knew other than my sister. I was in a cabin that had room for 14 people- 2 counselors and 12 campers. In the cabin, there was a group of 3 campers that came together, a group of 2 campers that came together, my sister and I and the counselors. When we got to chose what cabin we got, that cabin was the only one left. When we were in line to chose, though, I saw a girl who was all by herself and I figured I could befriend her. She was not in our cabin though, and I was wondering why. I felt that the camp was going to be one of the worst weeks ever because I am not super outgoing and all the girls in our cabin had their friends. I did not want to spend the whole week by myself, though, or with my sister, I wanted to make more friends. I did not have much time to think about it, though, be...

From WOW to TEAM

Dear Readers, For my first article, I thought it would be fun to write about how TEAM initially began. My name is Sabine G. Anderson, and I am currently an MK (Missionary's Kid) in Mexico. This blog was the idea of my friend Mary, who I have known for about four years. We met in 2015 when her family was first moving to Arizona, while we were visiting family for a vacation. Mandy, Mary's sister and I first met at a playground. It didn't take long for us to become instant friends after Mandy and I discovered we shared a birthday (only Mandy is older by a few hours :P ).  When my family and I returned to Mexico that year, Mary and I stayed in close contact through email. It was like our texting format, which we now laugh about when we remember our few sentence emails we would send to one another. (edit: and we would respond without seconds, like if we were texting. -Mary) It was a few months after we began emailing that Mary got Skype and she came up with this idea to ...

Prayer Requests

My goal is to update this as often as new info comes in. Prayer Requests: Joey at Smashburger. Pray that he will accept Christ as his Savior. School- pray that we can all focus and do our best in every way. Friends- pray for our unbelieving friends who need to know the Truth. Bible group- pray that we can get along, and meet every week. Jake's dad- pray that he can lead his church in the best way. Sabine's "vocho" and truck have been having problems. Pray that there won't be any more issues. Sabine needs Art credit to graduate in two years. She still hasn’t started it. Prayer that she will and that she will stay committed to it. “Uncle” Dennis is having knee surgery. Pray that it will go well and he can recover fast. Tal is a young baby boy who has heart issues. He recently got a new heart, but he is still not feeling the best. Pray he can grow up to be a healthy young boy. Mandy -Pray that she can get along with her siblings and that she can do ...

Future Plans

Hi, y'all! It is Mary again. Like I mentioned in my last post, many of us are writers, and we all have access to this blog, so we will have to let you know who wrote which post. :) My goal is to be able to send y'all a short bio about many of us in the group TEAM. I want you to know we are real people that have real struggles, not just a robot or someone who tells about all the good going on in our lives. In fact, I will probably post some prayer requests we have, if TEAM gives me permission. I know this is a short post, but it is here to prepare you for the good stuff coming up soon.

Welcome to the TEAM blog!

Hi, this is Mary Beau. I have a group of friends from all over the world that gather together at 11 my time every Saturday on Skype to dive deep into God's Word and learn together as a TEAM. So, we decided to name our group just that- TEAM. It stands for Teaching, Evangelism, and Ministry. We were formerly known as WOW- Weekend of Worship. This group is still new- we are gaining members as we go. For example, one of our newer members, Mandy, was able to add about 4 friends of her friends. We have had about 17 members throughout the years, most of which are still with us today. There are about 3 of us that have been in TEAM since before it was even named WOW (check out Sabine's blog post titled 'From WOW to TEAM'). Both of these wonderful young ladies (Sabine and Cai) have been my friends for over about 4 years or longer. One of the original members at first left group, but Pixel came back after much pressure from us. We are all glad that Pixel is back in TEAM as ...
