Advice from Jake
Here we go again! Jake is still busy, but he loves giving profound and helpful information that he would love to share with you. Here we go:
"Give Me Faith" By Elevation Worship. It's an awesome song that my worship team played yesterday. The chorus of this song says "Give me faith to trust what you say. That you're good and your love is great. I'm broken inside, I give you my life." That's quite a line. "Give me faith to trust what you say..." How easy is it for us to forget that God is perfect and has a perfect plan for us? It's pretty easy. "That you're good and your love is great..." I don't think I really need to say anything about that, it speaks for itself. Finally "I'm broken inside, I give you my life." We can't do it by ourselves. Look at the world right now, it's broken. But what's not broken? How about those who put their trust in God? That's what happens when we give ourselves to God, and I know we all know this. And I know I say it like something that's so easy. "Oh, it's just like that..." But believe me, I know it's not. I know it's actually very difficult. But it's not impossible. All of you know this, awsome things happen when we do."

Jake randomly asked our group a question: " When you think of growing in Lord with your brothers and sisters in Christ, what words come to mind?" We responded with things such as "prayer, bible studies, family..." but he was not satisfied with the answer. He had a point he was trying to get across: "It starts with Unity. Everything you guys said falls under the fellowship. But we're all one body. Everything has a purpose everything works in a specific way for a reason. But we can only do that through one unified body of Christ. When there's a division in the church what happens? People get confused and some even fall away. But man, when we are all unified, we can make amazing things happen. But for that to happen we have to remember this: We are all part of the "Ministry Of Correction." We have to be able to take corrections from our Brothers and Sisters. We also need to be able to go and tell our brothers and sisters sins that they may be doing, but without hypocrisy and discouragement."
"Alright, I want you to think for a second. So, the king of Kings, the Lord of lords the most powerful: Jesus. We fell away from God, we've all sinned. Yet, God said, "no, I want them with me." So Jesus came down, endured everything we have to endure and lives in sinless life. Then, with absolute humility, he went to the cross and took all of our sins upon himself. And he died for me and for you. Now, whenever I sin, I can come back to him, ask for forgiveness and repent, and he will forgive me. And because of this, I get to spend eternity with Him in paradise. Guys, this is the truth! This is why we worship him! This is why we serve him! I can't think of a better way to live than to live by Christ."

Again, I will update this one more often now.
