Random Thoughts

Hi, Mary here!

I wanted to do something maybe a little bit more "fun" on this blog. I know that though the information on this blog can be helpful, it probably is really boring after article after article about things you can LEARN. How about something you can simply just think about without having to answer, or some funny comments that you can just laugh at. I am inviting other TEAM members to create their random thoughts if they want to, but I doubt they have such crazy of a brain like mine.

1. I have been reading through the Old Testament (OT) and I have considered recording, in bullet point format, a list of the jobs that the priests had and exactly how to apply each one depending on the case.
2. If the priest had to touch the unclean people to deem them clean again or still unclean, wouldn't the priests be unclean?
3. When Pharoah's eldest son died, did any of the other Egyptians NOT lose the firstborn son? What about any Israelites who disobeyed God's commands and DID loss their firstborn son?
4. Did the Israelites ever feel unaccomplished on a certain day because of the distance they covered? For example, when I go on walks I look ahead and say "Once I reach that point I'll be _ done." Depending on the point I would say like halfway done or three-fourths done. The Israelites did not have those landmarks, though.
5. I am slightly confused about how Cain had someone that he could marry, right?
6. How long did Adam and Eve live in the garden before they first sinned- weeks?  months? years? It did not take the rest of creation long before they messed up, but did Adam and Eve enjoy the garden for some time before they messed up humanity?
7. What if Joseph appointed one of his sons into the office of Pharaoh, and Joseph's family tried to get on the good side of Pharoah, and then they pretty much merged with the Egyptians. Then, they would have never been their own nation, right? Because they would have settled with Egypt. I mean, I know that God had already thought of that, but it is just interesting that Joseph was at a high position and he didn't have his kids become friends with the Pharoah's kids.
8. This is a thought of mine that I have had for years: What if God had like a map in heaven (it would be huge) and it shows all the people and how they meet. For example, he knows that if I chose to go to that college I will meet this person. And from meeting that person, I would meet this other person... and so on. But does God have another map, or would he have another map for who I would meet if I changed my mind and went to a different college? I know that God knows the choices we make even before we make them, but sometimes I wonder if I miss out (or God wants me to miss out) if I chose one not-so-important choice over the other not-so-important choice (and what I mean by not-so-important is like both choices are okay choices to make). Yeah, I have random thoughts.
9. Mandy: When we go to heaven, will Jesus still have the scars on his hands?
10. Sometimes I wish that people had a symbol floating over their head that only Christians could see. If it was a green check, they were really saved. If it was a gray check, they would be brought to Christ in their lifetime. If they had a red x, they would not. But, God did not make it this way and that is okay. Plus, what if you found a family member or close friend that had that red x. It would break my heart.
11. Why did Israel not send out missionaries?
12. What if God had a map in heaven (it would be huge) and it showed all the people and how they meet. For example, He knows that if I chose to go to that college I will meet this person. And from meeting this person, I would meet this other person...and so on. But does God have another map, or would there be other lines that show who I would meet if I went to a different college? I know that God knows the choices we make even before we make them, but sometimes I wonder if I miss out (or if God wants me to miss out) if I chose one not-so-importance choice over the other not-so-important choice (and what I mean is like either choice is a right choice).

I will probably update this quite a few times, so be prepared for more random thoughts later, if you check in here often enough! Also, if you want to anonymously add your personal random thoughts (preferably related to your bible studies) send them to teamskypegroup@gmail.com. We'd love to hear from you! OR, you can comment on your suggestions. Don't be afraid to give us your opinion or suggestions. We loving hearing from you all!
